Woes of the Directionally Challenged

I don't care if your house is the Empire State Building. People will get lost getting to your house. Little old ladies, people who don't drive well in the dark, and people who have trouble following directions from their GPS.

I finally got fed up with this. People were dinging me on the location section of the reviews because they had gotten lost. One lady dinged me because she couldn't figure out which door was my front door. She suggested that I put a sign in front of my house showing the way to the front door. I don't like pointing out to the world that I rent out rooms so that was out of the question.

I made a step by step picture tutorial for my guests. I even included a picture of my front door in it so that guests coming in when I'm not at home could find their way in. My guests loved this. It made it easy for them to get to my house. Guests would show up with my tutorial printed out for them to follow. It took the stress out of finding their way to my house and in their minds added value to my listing.

Now I don't have to go out in the middle of the night searching for my guests because they are lost and are incapable of telling me what street they are on. An hour of my time putting it together has saved me hours of time and stress. If you are currently renting out your home get off the couch right now and, as Nike says, Just Do It.
